Kathryn Gregory Anderson, PhD
Kathryn Gregory Anderson is an environmental sociologist who investigates how gender, race, nation, and other social hierarchies create barriers for collective action to promote economic democracy and environmental justice. Her research identifies leverage points for increasing diversity and inclusion and she develops evidence-based organizational interventions. Her projects span several different sectors, including food systems and energy, and a number of different regions, from the Brazilian Amazon to Wisconsin's dairyland. In summer 2019, Kathryn transitions from graduate school at the University of Wisconsin to a postdoctoral fellowship at UC-Berkeley's Department of Environmental Science, Policy, and Management.
